Why Subscription? Do You Provide One-Time Fee Plan?
We are glad you asked this question. For context, like many of our users, we also prefer one-time purchases over subscriptions. However, through experience, we've found that this business model is not sustainable for our type of service.
Let us explain why:
First, Apple regularly updates iOS and macOS, which often introduces breaking changes that can affect application functionality. Some of these changes are significant enough to require substantial modifications to our codebase. This means we need to continuously invest resources and developer efforts into maintaining and updating the application to ensure our users' experience remains unaffected.
Secondly, our cloud storage infrastructure requires constant attention. When you store your data in the cloud, we must ensure our servers operate reliably 24/7 and maintain robust systems to protect your data. These ongoing operational costs, including server maintenance, security updates, and backup systems, represent significant recurring expenses.
Based on these considerations, we have chosen to primarily offer a subscription-based model.
However, we deeply appreciate our early supporters and want to offer them something special. That's why we currently provide a lifetime plan option, priced at approximately 2-3 times our annual subscription rate. This lifetime plan is our way of thanking those who believe in our product from the beginning.
Please note that this lifetime plan is a limited-time offer. Once we move beyond our early stage, we will discontinue this option to preserve its exclusivity for our early supporters. After that, we will focus exclusively on our subscription model.
